Mission: The research activities apply to all types of materials of industrial interest and its action falls under three major missions : The research The Center des Matériaux aims to carry out scientific research of the highest international standard on topics of industrial interest. In this logic, it is a joint research unit of the CNRS (UMR 7633, INSIS Department). The fields of application range from physical properties to numerical modeling. Training This mission is manifested by the participation of scientific managers in the engineering courses of MINES ParisTech, interventions in several universities in the Paris region, at the undergraduate or master level, in the implementation of the specialized Master's degree in Design des Matériaux et des Structures The valorization of the results of research The importance of this valorisation activity is illustrated by the fact that half of the total resources result, via ARMINES, from research contracts involving French and international industrial partners.
