Mission: The Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, is a public institution of the national order that develops the functions of teaching, research, and extension, promotes the dialogue of knowledge, the construction of academic community, the permanent self-evaluation of institutional processes, in the context of a globalized world, in order to form integral and socially responsible citizens who promote justice, equity, respect for human values and contribute to the progress of the Defense sector and society in general.
Vision: The Universidad Militar Nueva Granada will be recognized for its high quality and excellence in the national and international spheres by promoting reflection, creativity, continuous learning, research and innovation from a global perspective; in compliance with social responsibility, which allows it to anticipate, propose and develop solutions that respond to the needs of society and the Defense sector.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
