Mission: The ANLIS is an organism that executes the sanitary policies of the Ministry of Health regarding the prevention, referential diagnosis, investigation and treatment of toxo-infectious diseases, genetically based, nutritionally based and non-communicable. Likewise, it is responsible for the production and quality control of immunobiologicals, in the execution of health programs linked to its area of concern, in the coordination of laboratory networks in the country, in carrying out epidemiological studies and in teaching and training human resources in their labor relations.
Vision: The ANLIS must be strengthened as a National and Regional Reference body in the field of Public Health, in sanitary and scientific-technological matters, which provides quality services in diagnosis, prevention and treatment, in the production of biologicals, in the control quality, in teaching and research and in epidemiology.
