Promoting innovation and social transformation We have to go beyond the walls of the institution, in order to create synergies with society and thus contribute to its well-being and to the creation of value. Boosting commitment to culture We have to be a 'factory of ideas', that is, a place of debate, discussion and reflection at the service of culture that offers tools to decipher the contemporary world and to participate actively in it.

A personalized, efficient and adaptable university, that works with efficiency, clarity, rigour and immediacy and that adapts to the context and needs of the community, in order to effectively achieve the results it seeks, but without ever losing sight of its commitment to society. A public university, economically sustainable, to be financed with an adequate contribution of public resources and also with other sources of resources generated by the University's own activity. The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
