Mission: TRAINING To promote and facilitate throughout people's lives the fullest possible development of their abilities, in order to contribute effectively to personal progress and to that of society. KNOWLEDGE GENERATION AND TRANSFER To expand universal knowledge and individual understanding for the benefit of society in order to build our future together. UNIVERSITY AND SOCIETY To play a relevant role in shaping a democratic, fair and pluralistic society that combines progress with respect for people and the environment. INTERNAL MANAGEMENT To optimise the public resources that society places at our disposal and to promote the development of people, groups and units of the URV.

Vision: The University of the integral formation of the people, where one learns to: Being : promotes the development of personality, autonomy, self-judgment and responsibility, taking advantage of all the qualities of people. Doing : prepares people to adequately face the demands of the working world and the social environment, encouraging the capacities of adaptation, communication, criticism and teamwork. Living together : encourages the development of common projects, tackles discrepancies with respect and rigour and promotes the values of pluralism and mutual understanding without renouncing one's own ideas. Knowledge : transmits knowledge by combining generality with specialization, incorporating lifelong learning, promoting self-learning and teaching how to learn. The University that learns from: People: it encourages the generation and exchange of ideas for the good of the whole. Society: incorporates everything that society generates and that is good for the University. It itself : promotes mechanisms of continuous improvement integrated into all university processes. The creative and innovation-driven University: It considers that its most differential feature is the capacity to generate knowledge and ideas. It orients its processes and capacities towards creativity. It promotes innovation in all fields of action. It measures, evaluates and rewards creativity and innovation. The University is committed to work: It promotes the labor market insertion of its graduates. It promotes the occupational initiatives arising from the university community. It assumes the continuous training of people as an indispensable fact of individual and collective progress. The University is committed to the environment and society: It is at the service of its environment. It identifies with the reality of Catalonia. It allies itself with all the agents of the environment to build a future of progress. Exercises and promotes reflection and criticism for the benefit of society. The universal University: He works with trainers and researchers from all over the world. It promotes the mobility of students, teachers and PAS. Cooperates with developing societies.
