Mission: Wroclaw University of Science and Technology is a technical university and a research institution. The aim of educating students is to not only provide them with reliable knowledge, but also with creative and critical thinking. The University primarily carries out its mission through the highest standards in scientific research, internationalization and also through the high quality of education which is adapted to labour market requirements. Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, as an academic community, is open and comprehensive, it cherishes university values and traditions and cooperates with other universities and external partners.
Vision: Internally, the university is the centre of the scientists’ and students’ activities, enabling them to fulfil their life aspirations. It is a place where technical, scientific and civilizational problems are addressed, discussed and solved. The Wrocław University of Science and Technology is based on trust the abuse of which is not tolerated.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
