Mission: To train and update professionals at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels, competent to carry out original anthropological and historical research, capable of generating and applying knowledge on issues of scientific relevance, development, relevance and social impact, based on social commitment as an organizing criterion and an attitude that recognizes diversity. As well as, to update and to spread the knowledge of the anthropological and historical disciplines, taking into account the functions that they can fulfill in different groups from the society.
Vision: The National School of Anthropology and History is positioned as one of the most nationally and internationally recognized institutions in teaching and research in the field of anthropology and history, based on high quality programs in the training of professionals with competitive and cutting-edge levels in the field of research in the various disciplines of its competence. With this, the ENAH seeks to collaborate in the performance of the substantive tasks of researching, conserving, protecting and disseminating knowledge about Mexico's cultural heritage, which by law are the responsibility of the INAH.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output.
