Mission: Promote and coordinate excellent and responsible translational health research and innovation among emerging and consolidated groups to guarantee the continuity of quality research and innovative activity in Araba/Álava and its recognition, involving both health and non-health professionals in the sector biosciences-health and citizens, with the aim of improving healthcare, generating an impact on the health of the population and contributing to the socio-economic wealth of Araba/ Álava and the Autonomous Community of Euskadi.
Vision: Position itself as a benchmark Institute for Health Research and Innovation at the regional, state and international level, which stands out for its vocation to integrate innovation in the health environment and for providing differential value both to its members and to society by carrying out of high-impact interdisciplinary research and innovation projects in collaboration with scientific-technological agents, the business fabric and the citizens of Araba/Álava and the Autonomous Community of Euskadi
The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
